Apr. 2023: Ming Lee, Lorenzo, Xiaodong & Katerina co-organize "Symposium EL07: Group IV Nanostructures for Emerging Optoelectronics” at the Spring 2023 Materials Research Conference in San Francisco. It was great to see everyone there and get an in-person update on their science!

July 2022: Paulina and Vanessa lead the inaugural 'Nutty about Nanoparticles' camp for 8-10 year old children over the course of a week, sharing nanosized nuggets of science in the form of plasmonic nanoparticles...

Mar. 2022: Ming Lee gives two invited talks at the ACS meeting in San Diego. It was particularly meaningful to be part of Florida State University Graduate Student Symposium Planning Committee's, GSSPC, "Illuminating the Field of Photophysics: 101 Years of Michael Kasha" line up, to look back and reflect on Kasha's seminal contributions to photochemistry.
Dec. 2021: Ming Lee presents at the Silicon Containing Polymers and Composites workshop in San Diego; and virtually at the Next Generation Solar Energy conference (NGSE6). Thanks to Joe Furgal and Claire Hartmann-Thompson for organizing the former; Christoph, Dirk, Garry, Jens, Jose, Katherine and Ning for the latter! To close out the year, Nobu Yanai (Kyushu), Mark Wilson (Toronto), Jianzhang Zhao (Dalian) and Ming Lee co-organized the Pacifichem 2021 Symposium on Excitonic Materials for Photon Upconversion and Singlet Fission.

July 2021: We have moved to the Department of Chemistry at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. While we're grateful to have been part of the wonderful community of students, staff and faculty at the University of California, Riverside for the past 9 years, we are excited about the next chapter at the University of Utah!

Apr. 2019: Pan Xia wins the Best Poster Award Wed. evening at the Materials Research Society's Spring meeting, while Kevin (a senior) is nominated! Emily and Pan give talks.
Apr. 2019: With Joey Luther from NREL, Wanli Ma from SooChow Univ. and Nobu Yanai from Kyushu Univ., Ming Lee organized a symposium, ES 19 "Excitonic Materials and Quantum Dots for Energy Conversion". We thank everyone who participated for making it a success!
